Following the successful launch of APSCo X One Recruiter's Sophisticated Sales Training Program, we're excited to be bringing this intensive 2-day program to Melbourne in August.

About the Sophisticated Sales Training Program

In the last 3 years we witnessed a record surge in the recruitment market, followed by a very quick change to what we are all referring to as a ‘normal market’. The challenge is there are many people who have not operated in a normal market before. The good news is, normal markets present a lot of opportunity, you simply need to have the right mindset, skills and habits.

That's where Sophisticated Sales comes in – meticulously designed to equip you and your team with the skills and strategies needed to thrive in this dynamic sales environment.

Ideal for people billing between 250k to 500k and want to propel themselves to the next level.

This program will cover:

  1. Mindset, skills and habits for Sophisticated Sales: Discover resilience, willingness and motivation combined with collaboration skills, evaluating how much of your desk revenue you originate yourself vs how much you generate for the business, and the daily, weekly, monthly routines to set yourself up for success.
  2. The value of information: Obtaining it and developing your technical expertise (and personal value proposition), across product, customer and industry/vertical.
  3. Preparation to meet with different stakeholders: One of the most talked about but least performed parts of the sales process in recruitment. Prime yourself to meet with HR / TA, Finance / Procurement, Hiring Managers and Leadership.
  4. Execute and deliver value within your meetings with key stakeholders: Connect the dots from your clients’ needs and your area of expertise, to deliver a proposition that fulfills the total business need.

Participants will also formulate a 90 day business development plan which they will bring back to the office and execute under the supervision of their facilitator.

The Sophisticated Sales Program is being delivered in Melbourne by One Recruiter's Steph Healy in person, and comprises of two 3-hour sessions on: 

Day 1: Wednesday August 7 (2pm - 5pm)

Day 2: Thursday August 8 (9am - 12pm) 


Here's how the program works:

 

Day 1

 

Day 1 of the program sets the tone for thriving in an evolving sales environment. Attendees reflect on their resilience and motivation within a changing market and how this translates to daily efforts, routines and actions. With the goal of becoming a subject market expert, attendees explore the value of information, how to obtain it, validate it and use it to demonstrate their technical expertise with customers in their vertical.

 

Day 2

 

Day 2 of the program sets expectations on elite preparation and clear execution. Attendees explore how to map their market, research their customers, and tailor their calls and meetings to different needs. With the goal to expand short and long term business opportunities, attendees reflect on the value they give and receive within calls and meetings, practice elevated questioning techniques and how to share insights within group roleplay activities.

 

90 day execution plan

 

A detailed framework guiding attendees actions for the 12 weeks following the program. The execution plan coupled with the program materials, equips attendees to map their market, build target lists, identify gaps in key contacts, and prioritise each call with a tailored strategy. With self-reflection activities at 4 weeks, 8 weeks and 12 weeks, attendees are invited to measure the impact of their efforts and their sales activities.

 

45 and 90 day check-ins

 

2 x collaborative virtual meetings with attendees to help them best proceed with their execution plan. These sessions aim to explore progress, discuss challenges and share advice, combining accountability with action.

 

Manager loop

 

Feedback shared with attendees’ direct manager post the 90 day check-in. Each manager receives insights on their team member’s progress towards their intended plan alongside recommendations on how to best support them with their ongoing execution.
